Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (BCST) is a hands on therapy that combines Western scientific understanding of the body with mindfulness, a unique type of touch and a belief in the body’s ability to heal itself.
A core principle of BCST is that health is present in every body. The practitioner comes from this starting point – that no matter what has occurred and what symptoms are presenting, health is still present. BCST can help you reconnect with lost feelings of health and help to find your vitality. It is also excellent for rebalancing your nervous system, helping you to move out of “fight, flight or freeze” and into a more harmonious state.
There is never any force in the holds and the practitioner works from a still and embodied presence. The aim is to access your body’s own deep wisdom and to use that energy to come to a place of healing. Clients lie fully clothed on a massage table while the practitioner places their hands gently on the feet, legs, arms, back, head or stomach, inviting a state of deep listening and relaxation. The sessions always go at the client’s pace and many clients find the treatment very relaxing and initiating profound shifts.
BCST is useful for a variety of conditions and ailments, including chronic pain, gut issues, hormonal issues, fertility, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, sleep disturbances, birth trauma (mother and/or baby), feeding problems and many more. It’s wonderful for babies and children as it is very subtle and non-invasive
